Maintenance
Maintenance on all WindWorks components must be performed by an approved WindWorks representative. Any maintenance performed by others will void the WindWorks warranty.
1. Low maintenance does not mean no maintenance.
2. We take a Preventative Maintenance approach (time-based) rather than a Reactive Maintenance approach (run to failure) with our wind turbine systems. By taking the Preventative Maintenance approach, you will see a 24% decrease in repair and maintenance costs.
3. Check the wind turbine once every six months to be sure the wind turbine is running correctly. This can be a visual check from the ground. Also a visual check should be completed of the LCD screen to verify proper power delivery.
4. Maintenance costs vary depending on the size and location of the wind turbine system.
5. Inspection (and possibly maintenance) will need to be completed once per year.
Inspection Includes:
• mechanical and electrical connections
• checking components for corrosion
• change gear box oil
• inspect blades
• inspect all bolt connections
6. Unlike other wind turbine systems, WindWorks wind turbines have individual components that can be replaced instead of having to order a whole new system.
7. Maintenance is important to WindWorks and we want your wind turbine system up and running so you can have optimal performance and maximum energy generation.
